We believe we have found John's father. Johann Michael Shellenberger of Germany settled for a time in Berk County before continuing on to Huntington County. He had four sons; John who died young, Philip 1770 who's descendants went to Ohio then Michigan, John abt 1773 who no more was known of until now, and Jacob 1776 who's descendants remained for a time in Huntington County (which part became Blair County) before heading, amongest other places, to Illinois. The connection is likely based on what I have been shown but I have not seen proof. Please try to verify this information before declaring it absolute truth.
