Daniel Sollenberger, Abt 1745 1792,, (i1767.10.6) S1 DRL (History of Dayton, OH gives that the family came from Berlin, Germany) Arrived in Philadelphia from Switzerland on the ship "Hamilton". Married Catherine, abt 1745. Settled in Cocalico Twp., Lancaster Co., PA Moved to Chester Co., PA in 1786. Died on farm in Londonderry Twp., Chester Co., PA His wife and family moved to Franklin Co., PA in 1794. Mennonite, but some of his descendants became United Brethren and others Brethren in Christ or Old Order River Brethren. Edwin Solenberger gives that Daniel was the third child, Jacob the fourth and Abram the fifth and that each married a Wenger. Other researchers do not attribute an Abram to Daniel and Catherine.

Both buried Sollenberger Farm Cemetery, south of Scotland, Franklin Co., PA He married as a Sollenberger, but his stone reads Solenberger. Two of his sons used the spelling Solenberger, Jacob and ?.
