Additional Info: From Wayne County Democrat dated December 9, 1903 Elizabeth Shallenberger, aged a little over 81 years, died on Thursday morning, having had a stroke Tuesday evening. Funeral last Saturday at 3 p.m.. Her sons John, of Canal Fulton, Frank , of Massillon, and their wives, Josephine, who has been at Carnegie, Pennsylvania, Lem Davidson and wife, from near Coshocton, and other friends from a distance were here to the funeral services, in the Lutheran church, conducted by Rev. A. K. Fulton.

Additional Info: From Canton Repository, dated Saturday, February 15,1936 pg. 8 MRS. HENRIETTA SHALLENBERGER MASSILLON---Mrs. Henrietta Shallenberger, 79, died Friday at her home at Canal Fulton. She was the widow of John Shallenberger. She leaves a son, W. O. Shallenberger of Springdale, Pa., a daughter Hazel of the home, a grandchild and a great-grandchild. Mrs. Shallenberger was a member of Presbyterian church of Canal Fulton and the Order of Eastern Star of Canton. Services Sunday 2:30 p.m. at the home, Rev. Brand officiating, Burial in Newman Creek chapel cemetery.

Claims money due her from Jacob Wineland, John G. Porter and Joseph Wineland (being interest due on her dowry), as well as money due her from her father, Jacob Shallenberger dec'd. Ex'r is neighbor Abraham Parshing Esq. Witnesses are Henry D. Overholt and George Goder.
